Türkiye’s Most-Watched News Channels on YouTube
The YouTube Rating Report, prepared jointly by Marketing Türkiye and MTM Medya Takip Merkezi, turns its attention to news channels. Covering six categories, from newspapers and television news channels to online news outlets and main news bulletins, the study presents September viewing figures and subscriber growth.
Halktv leads in views, TVNET in subscriber growth
Among television news channels, Halktv leads with 107.6 million views, followed by SÖZCÜ Televizyonu with 81.1 million, CNN TÜRK with 78.8 million and TVNET with 68 million. TVNET records the largest subscriber gain, adding 23,000 subscribers. Horizontal videos account for 73% of Halktv’s views.
GZT tops the online news category
GZT leads both rankings among online news outlets, with 56.7 million views and 30,000 new subscribers. DW Türkçe ranks second in views with 48.6 million, followed by gdh TV with 35.6 million. Shorts make up a substantial share of views for the top three: 77.5% for GZT, 97.1% for DW Türkçe and 87.1% for gdh TV.
BirGün stands out among newspapers
BirGün TV leads the newspaper category with 22 million views, followed by Yeni Şafak with 16.6 million and Nefes Gazetesi with 16.3 million. Oksijen TV tops the subscriber-growth ranking with 15,000 new subscribers. BirGün TV adds 10,000 and Nefes Gazetesi 6,100, completing the top three.
Main news bulletins: different formats, different leaders
Haber 7 leads the main news category with 43.5 million views. Show Ana Haber reaches 26.9 million and Star Ana Haber 23.6 million. Shorts account for 98.6% of Haber 7’s views, while horizontal videos dominate at the next two channels. atv Haber leads subscriber growth with 10,000 new subscribers.
Yurttaş TV and Onlar stand out among independents
Yurttaş TV leads the independent category with 20.4 million views, followed by Onlar with 15.3 million. Horizontal videos account for most views at both channels. Onlar adds 10,000 subscribers in September, taking first place in the category’s subscriber-growth ranking.
İHA leads the news agencies
İhlas Haber Ajansı records 11.7 million views, more than half the combined total of the four agencies in this category. Demirören Haber Ajansı reaches approximately 4 million views, Anadolu Ajansı 3.4 million and Anka Haber Ajansı 3.3 million. Anadolu Ajansı leads subscriber growth with 1,000 new subscribers.
